Mark reaction points before you invent a story

The first pass on a printed chart is mechanical. Names and narratives wait until the dots are on the page.

Market data printouts on a desk

We ask every intensive student to work in silence for the first twenty minutes. Pencil only. Circle every clear rejection: a bar that approached an area and then left with intent.

Only after the page is dotted do we discuss whether those reactions form a floor, a ceiling, or a messy overlap that should be left unmarked.

Stories about news, sentiment, or ‘the market wanting’ something come last, if at all. Mapping is a record of what price already did at a location.
