Mark reaction points before you invent a story
The first pass on a printed chart is mechanical. Names and narratives wait until the dots are on the page.
We ask every intensive student to work in silence for the first twenty minutes. Pencil only. Circle every clear rejection: a bar that approached an area and then left with intent.
Only after the page is dotted do we discuss whether those reactions form a floor, a ceiling, or a messy overlap that should be left unmarked.
Stories about news, sentiment, or ‘the market wanting’ something come last, if at all. Mapping is a record of what price already did at a location.
